Unfunded State Mandates

What do you think of unfunded state mandates?

For example: The Georgia General Assembly will transfer millions of dollars of school costs from the state to local taxpayers this year. The two largest unfunded mandates are a 4-percent pay raise for teachers and a law requiring schools to reduce minimum class size.

Illegal Immigrants

Do you agree that the U.S. should treat illegals who come here the same way Mexico treats people entering that country illegally?

Hurricaine Assistance

Do you agree the federal government is better prepared to assist local authorities if a hurricaine strikes in Georgia this year?

Tuition Jump

Do you think Georgia public college students who stay on campus longer than four years should face a tuition jump of 25 percent or more under a fixed-rate tuition policy revised Wednesday by the state Board of Regents?

Water Shortage

Do you think Georgia will have a water shortage because the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is releasing too much water this spring in an effort to protect endangered mussels and the Gulf sturgeon?
